Essence: barbed tape is made of a metal strip (blank) comprises a central portion and a large number of elements, formed integrally with it. The tape has a high cost due to the fact that it is made from stainless steel, the processing which needs a lot of energy, as well as in the manufacture of this tape is increased wear and punching property. When this palm does not experience any injury due to the fact that the striking elements missing prongs which would be directed at least at some angle to the longitudinal axis of the tape, i.e. the outer side elements lacks any tapered elements located there.

Another essential disadvantage of the known barbed tape is inefficient use of the model material (the metal strip) by the formation of metal waste during punching in the strip a large number of opposing pairs of damaging elements to form a wide internal space in which the tip directed prongs. Such waste reaches 30% of the metal blank.

The basis of the utility model is the task of improving the protective properties of the barbed tape and efficiency of the model material by reorienting the spatial arrangement of the prongs due to changes in the design of elements.
